Keeping Track of What's New

I have been talking a lot about Matter of Clay III opening in London at the Gallery August 4th 2011 at 7PM.
This is going to be an extraordinary exhibition. Already over 100 of Canada's top ceramic artists are committed to participate and this is going to provide ceramic lovers with an accessible feast. All work will be exhibited for the first time and all work will be for sale. in addition there will be a catalogue e that will be a true collectors' item. Not only will there be photos of the work but a 'maker's mark index'.

Work has already begun arriving for the exhibition. We will in the first week of June start illustrating examples as they arrive so watch and follow this page for exciting updates and the who and what of this fabulous exhibition. Keep abreast through the events page so that you will be able to get first hand knowledge of who will be attending. Already there are confirmations from artists coast to coast who has indicated their intent to attend.

Work has started to arrive. Bill Boyd (BC), Lissette Savaria (PQ), Keith Campbell (ON), Goyer-Bonneau (PQ) are among the early arrivals.

Speaking of Goyer-Bonneau: The tureen "Pea-Soup" first created in 1979 is being re-issued with the gallery having exclusive distribution rights. The reissue, for the first time is in black porcelain with the number of the edition limited to the number of original handles remaining. This issue of 40 tureens is selling quickly, estimated delivery August 4th. Numbers 1 to 10 were $450. I say were because they are sold out and the next ten, numbers 11 to 20,  at $550 are as well. Tureens, numbered 21 to 30, are now at $650 with number 21, 22, 23 already sold. The final ten, number 31 - 40, will be $2,000 each.
